Washington State Supported Employment Services

Washington State’s Supported Employment Services help people with developmental disabilities or other conditions find and keep jobs in their communities. The program focuses on your skills, interests, and past work experience to create a job plan. It includes help with job searches, learning new jobs, and long-term support to keep working.

You can also get benefits planning. This helps you understand how earning money from a job might affect your Social Security, Medicaid, housing support, or other benefits. The goal is to help you make choices that work for your life.

To join, you must be a Home and Community Services client and meet Foundational Community Supports criteria. Talk to your case manager, social worker, or call 1-844-427-8256 or email supportedemployment@dshs.wa.gov for more info.

The program is person-centered. An employment provider will work directly with you to find a job that fits your needs. Services also include exploring job options, making a resume, and learning new skills.
