The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) in Washington State helps people with disabilities get jobs, learn about job options, and access tools and support. Their services include job counseling, employment help, and training for businesses to hire people with disabilities.
As of December 8, 2025, DVR closed all service categories because they do not have enough resources to serve everyone who is eligible. This means new applicants must wait until a priority category opens. DVR uses an “Order of Selection” to decide who gets help first. People with the most significant disabilities are prioritized under federal rules.
If you are eligible for DVR services, you will be placed on a waiting list. Services start based on when you applied and your priority category. All categories (1–5) are currently closed. DVR checks its resources regularly and may open categories in the future.
